49 Projects Enter Second LEGO Ideas Review Round of 2023
4th September 2023
The qualification period for making it to the second LEGO Ideas review round of 2023 ended today.
49 projects were successful in reaching the 10,000 supporter threshold required to make the review stage.
Amongst the 49 are three Taylor Swift themed projects, and two Muppet and Disney inspired builds. Several other franchises are also visited in the line-up, including Shrek, Scooby Doo, Asterix, Jumanji, and Mary Poppins to name a few.
Car and train enthusiasts will also have their fingers crossed, as there are models of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, Red Bull F1 car, Flying Scotsman, and “Big Boy” Locomotive in the running.
All projects will now be judged by LEGO on the following criteria amongst others:
- Build Quality
- Feasibility
- Playability
- Expected Demand
- Brand Fit
- Licensing Potential
LEGO also considers the projects in relation to products they already have on sale and those currently in development.
The exact date of when the winners will be announced isn't known but it won't be until 2024.
The full list of projects currently under review can be viewed on the LEGO Ideas website.
