I'm a fan of pretty much everything LEGO does but every now and again a set comes along that makes me go "What the hell!?", and today is one of those days. UK Toy Retailer, Smyths, has leaked one of the 2025 Harry Potter sets called Hagrid And Harry's Motorcycle Ride.
It's just so bad, laughably bad in fact. I'm just shocked that multiple people at LEGO signed this of to be an official set.
Alongside the slew of Formula 1 sets LEGO revealed today, was the new Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell set in the Icons theme. The set will have 799 pieces, including a Nigel Mansell Minifigure (which has a nice face printing of his signature mustache!) and a RRP of £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99. Like all of the other Formula 1 sets LEGO has announced it will be available from 1st March 2025.
The car in the set is a replica of the legendary F1 race car that propelled Nigel Mansell to victory in the 1992 Formula 1® World Championship. You also get a display stand for the car and for the Mansell minifigure which has a quote on it reading "You don't become a champion by doing what is easy. You become a champion by constantly pushing your boundaries and challenging yourself".
Ahead of the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix this weekend LEGO has officially revealed details of 2025 Speed Champions sets. There is a set for every team car on the grid (excluding Mclaren as there's an existing set) so that includes, Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Alpine, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Haas, Williams and Red Bull VCARB.
All of the sets are available from 1st March 2025 and they are all priced at £22.99 / $26.99. Every car comes with a single minifigure which do look nice as they've made a new helmet mold but it would have been nice to have two minifigures in each set being the two drivers from each team. I think LEGO missed a bit of a trick there but maybe licensing issue prevented them from doing that.
The highly anticipated next LEGO modular building has been leaked today and its official name will be the Tudor Corner, set number 10350. The piece count and price are still to be confirmed but it will be released on 1st January 2025.
Initial impressions of this set from the one image we have are that it looks really really good. The rumors were that this was going to be a bed and breakfast so it looks like the downstairs will be a pub / tavern and the upstairs will be accommodation. Plus it looks like they've managed to squeeze in a barbershop next door.
Another of the new wave of LEGO sets launching on 1st January 2025 has been leaked, this time it's the Da Vinci's Flying Machine set.
This is an 18+ Icons set, it will have 493 pieces and will retail for £54.99 / $59.99. You also get a minifigure of Di Vinci himself which makes him look like Professor Dumbledore's brother.
Leondardo da Vinci was fascinated by birds and flying and this set is based on the flying machine that he designed in the 15th century. It looks like an interesting build and when you take into account the price I think this set will be pretty popular, plus I can picture some creative uses for the wing pieces it comes with.
LEGO has officially revealed the Flower Arrangement, the most expensive Botanical set they have produced with a retail price of £94.99 / $109.99
Unlike the other Botanicals sets that have been revealed this set will be released on 1st February 2025 rather than 1st January 2025. It will have 1,161 pieces and features 14 flowers including camellias, peonies, hydrangeas, baby's breath, ranunculus, bouvardia and lilies, and they can be displayed in the buildable white chalice vase

Today we have a leaked image of the Tom & Jerry LEGO Brickheadz set which joins the long list of sets due to be released on 1st January 2025.
The price and piece count of this set are to be confirmed but two character Brickheadz sets are normally $19.99 / £17.99 so expect this to be the same.
An image of the new LEGO Icons Spanish Gardens set has been leaked today and it looks bad... really bad. The set is due to be released on 1st January 2025, it will have 1,302 pieces and will retail for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99.
I had quite high hopes for this set, if it was anywhere close to the Tranquil Gardens, it would be a good set but I actually can't believe how bad it looks. First of all, how is it 1,302 pieces? I guess they just used a ton of pieces to make that uninspiring base. Secondly the proportions just look off, and thirdly it looks too sparse like it has no detail. This is definitely one of the worst LEGO sets I've seen in a while.
Today we have leaked images of the Retro Record Player (40699) which is the upcoming GWP that will be available during Black Friday weekend starting 29th November 2024.
The Retro Record Player is expected to be available with any purchases over $250 and first impressions are pretty good although this GWP won't be for everyone. There seems to be two camps when it comes to sets that are based on household items, some really like them and others really don't.
