This set was given out to people who attended the 2014 LEGO Inside Tour. In 2014, LEGO ran four Inside Tours during May and June, which were limited to 30 people each. Each tour group received the set in a unique box with a photo of their tour group on the back. Each of the four set variants was numbered from 1 to 80, giving a total production run of 320. 120 were distributed to the tour participants and it's expected that the remaining sets were distributed to LEGO employees who helped out with the event. It's also assumed that four copies (one of each variant) went to the LEGO vault.
