About this set
Superman was one of the first Comic Con exclusive minifigures, having being given out at the 2011 New York Comic Con. He came attached to a cardboard backing by a 2x2 plate. The cardboard backing was designed to look like front page of a fictional newspaper called “The New York Brick”. The Superman minifigure is not exclusive to this set as it was also included in a Comic Con exclusive set in 2015 and 6862 Superman vs. Power Armor Lex. 1,500 copies of this set were given out at the convention.
