This set was given away free to winners of a prize draw at the 2014 New York Comic Con. One copy was also given away to the winner of Twitter competition. The blister pack contains a trans-clear Bionicle Mask of Fire piece, which was exclusive to the set. The set was limited to 1,500 copies and each pack was unnumbered.
A further 100 copies of this set was distributed in slightly different packaging (comcon043-1) to attendees of an after-hours event at the Flatiron District LEGO store.
