LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog™ – Green Hill Zone Now Available

The latest set to be added to the LEGO Ideas theme is now available to buy from the LEGO Shop and in stores. The Sonic the Hedgehog™ – Green Hill Zone which was revealed last month, comprises of 1125 pieces and is set number 21331.

The set depicts the iconic Green Hill Zone level of the original Sonic the Hedgehog video game. Green Hill Zone is the first level you play when you start a new game and is instantly recognizable. The set features several of the core game mechanics such as vertical loops, smashable monitors, golden rings, springs and more.

You also get to build Dr. Eggman who appears at the end the level you must defeat to advance through the game.

Overall I think LEGO has done a fantastic job of replicating the famous video game. My only criticism, and it's quite a big one, is where is Tails?! It really wouldn't have been much more effort to include a Tails minifigure and I know die hard fans of the video game will feel let down by this.
