The Top 10 Most Expensive LEGO Star Wars Minifigures
1st July 2021
Since the first LEGO Star Wars set in 1999, it's been the most popular LEGO theme year on year bringing in the most sales for The LEGO Group. The films are well know globally and with the release of prequels and sequel it's helped to introduce new generations to the Star Wars franchise. Therefore it's no surprise that some of the most expensive LEGO minifigure ever made have come from the Star Wars theme and in this list we've going to count down the top 10.
Before we start I should point out that I haven't included the solid gold / silver / bronze of a kind figures from this list just because they are practically impossible to get prices for let alone be able to to obtain one.
The prices and images for these minifigures have been taken from bricklink.com, my go to place for buying new and used LEGO.
#10 - Jango Fett - £125.00
Jango Fett is first on our list and came with the 2002 "Jango Fett's Slave I" set. One of the things that make this minifigure so special is the colour that was used for the arms and the legs, that violet colour is very rare to see and that makes it a must have for collectors. His average price is around £125.00 but he can sell for up to £200.00
#9 - White Boba Fett - £125.00
I've covered this minifigure on other lists on Brick Ranker and on this one he appears at number X. The white Boba Fett minifigure was a promotional polybag to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Empire Strikes Back film. In the UK it was given away with purchases of £30 or more at Smyths toy stores. It's said that there are around 10,000 or these minifigures ever produced.
If you are looking to buy this minifigure I recommend buying the sealed polybag he came in as it will be around the same price as buying him separately and at least that way you know he'll be in good condition. Expect to pay around £125.00 to pick him up.
#8 - Chrome Darth Vadar - £130.00
From 2009, the Darth Vader polybag was a worldwide promotion celebrating 10 years of LEGO Star Wars and was randomly inserted into the 2009 wave of Star Wars sets. Similar to the chrome Stormtrooper earlier in the list, this minifigure has a chrome effect although not as noticable.
Only 10,000 were produced and this exclusivity means he carries a hefty price tag of £130.00.
#7 - Lando Calrissian (Cloud City) - £140.00
The original Cloud City set from 2003 is one of the most infamous LEGO Star Wars sets because it produced multiple, incredibly sought after minifigures and Lando Calrissian is just the first on this list from that set.
If you're looking to buy this minifigure make sure you find one with the original cape and ideally unfrayed.
#6 - Luke Skywalker Cloud City - £165.00
Another minifigure from the Cloud City set is Luke Skywalker. This minifigure is quite unremarkable apart from the belt printing at the top of his LEGO which was the first time we'd seen this on a minifig.
He is slightly more valuable than Lando at £165.00.
#5 - Yuletide Squadron Pilot - £250.00
The newest entry on this list in terms of age is the Yuletide Squadron Pilot that came in the Christmas X-Wing, a set that was given out exclusively to employees of The LEGO Group in 2019. The Christmas X-Wing is in my opinion one of the best sets LEGO has ever produced and it's great that it can with this exclusive minifigure.
What's strange is that the pilot sells for almost the cost of the sealed set at £250.00.
#4 - Boba Fett (Cloud City) - £600.00
Boba Fett isn't quite the Holy Grail in one's LEGO collection but he comes close. Fett also appeared in the Cloud City set and was the first ever minifigure to feature printed arms.
He's such an iconic minifigure and he price has been rising rapidly. A few years ago it was £300 but that figure is now £600.
#3 - Darth Vadar with medal - £750.00
Given away at the New York Toy Fair in 2013, this Darth Vader minifigure is very hard to value as it rarely comes on the market.
Any time a minifigure comes with exclusive packaging like this one does it definitely raises the price, which at an estimate is about £750.00.
#2 - Yoda - I Love NY - £750.00
The Yoda I Love NY minifigure was given away as a promotion when you bought a 9493 X-Wing set from the Toys R Us store in Times Square, New York. Apparently this was limited to 1,000 minifigure which is what makes him so expensive.
Because of his rarity it's hard to get a price but he normally sells for between £750 - £1,000. Also please note that there are loads of counterfeits of this figure flying around so if you are looking to buy one make sure you do your checks to ensure you're getting the real deal.
#1 - Chrome Gold C-3P0 £1000.00
In at number 1 we have the Chrome Gold C-3P0. Like the Chrome Darth Vadar minifigure, C-3PO was a promotional polybag included randomly in a few Star Wars sets in 2007. He was also limited to 10,000 but has a much higher asking price of £1,000!
Chris has been playing with LEGO bricks for as long as he can remember. His favorite themes are Icons, Star Wars and Harry Potter
