LEGO Harry Potter Summer 2023 Sets Revealed

2nd May 2023

LEGO's summer 2023 Harry Potter sets have been appearing on multiple retailer sites. Below is all the details on piece counts, minifigures, and prices we have so far.

Expecto Patronum

LEGO Expecto Patronum set

Set number: 76414

Price: TBC

Pieces: 754

Minifigures: 2 (Harry Potter and Professor Lupin)

Available: 1st June 2023

This is a 2-in-1 set that allows either Harry Potter's stag patronus or Professor Lupin's wolf patronus to be built. This dual functionality looks to have been pulled off very successfully as both patronuses look like very displayable models. Minifigures of Harry and Lupin have also been included to add to the display stand of each respective build.

Battle of Hogwarts

LEGO Battle of Hogwarts set

Set number: 76415

Price: TBC

Pieces: 730

Minifigures: 6 (Harry, Voldemort, Neville, Bellatrix Lestrange, Molly Weasley, and Scabior)

Available: 1st June 2023

This set is a modular build that can be linked to the other sets of various Hogwarts Castle locations that have been released over the past couple of years. There are six minifigures in this set, including the Death Eater Scabior, who is appearing for the first time in minifigure form. The set is also the first from the Wizarding World to make use of the transparent accessories pieces we see in Superhero sets to depict the magical spells of Harry and Voldemort.

Quidditch Trunk

LEGO Quidditch Trunk set

Set number: 76416

Price: TBC

Pieces: 599

Minifigures: 4 (Harry, Draco Malfoy, Cedric Diggory and Cho Chang)

Available: 1st June 2023

This set is very similar to the 76399 Hogwarts Magical Trunk we got last year. This one, however, is built around a miniature quidditch pitch and includes various quidditch paraphernalia, such as the three goal posts, house banners, and the crests of each Hogwarts house. Four minifigures are included of key members of the Gryffindor and Slytherin quidditch teams.

Dobby the House-Elf

LEGO Dobby the House-Elf set

Set number: 76421

Price: TBC

Pieces: -

Available: 1st June 2023

When I first saw this set, I was a bit freaked out but I've come round to finding it quite adorable. It's built to a similar scale as other buildable figures from the Wizarding World, such as Hedwig and Fawkes. The diminutive nature of house elves suits this style of set, and it will be interesting to see other similarly sized, but less important, characters get their own buildable figures.

While his legs are static, Dobby's head, arms, and fingers are all movable thanks to the use of ball joints. In addition to Dobby, this set contains Tom Riddle's diary and inserted sock from the Chamber of Secrets, and the cake that gets dropped on Aunt Petunia's head in the Prisoner of Azkaban. Dobby can be posed to hold both of these comfortably, which adds an extra display element.

Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes

LEGO Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes set

Set number: 76422

Price: TBC

Pieces: 834

Minifigures: 7 (Ginny, Romilda Vane, Ron, Lavender Brown, Owl Post Worker, Fred, and George)

Available: 1st June 2023

This is the most exciting of the sets to have been revealed thus far. It depicts the kaleidoscopic shop of the Weasley twins in Diagon Alley. It's only the second time this location has appeared in a LEGO, and offers a much cheaper way to get your hands on it than the 75978 Diagon Alley.

We are still awaiting more information on the large Gringotts D2C set, which we know will be coming this year, as well as the large re-imaging of the Knight Bus, first seen in the Prisoner of Azkaban. We'll update you as soon as we hear more on those.
