One of the most hotly anticipated sets of the year has been revealed online and it's the Lord of the Rings Barad-Dur set.

The set, which is number 10333, contains a whopping 5.471 pieces and includes 10 minifigures which are Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Gollum, Sauron, Mouth of Sauron, Nazgul, Brown Orc (2X), Green Orc (2X). The set will be released on the 1st June 2024 and will retail for £399.99 / $459.99 / €459.99.

Frodo and Samwise are the same as the versions included in the Rivendell set, but every other minifigure is exclusive to this set. This includes the second Mouth of Sauron minifigure, which has more detailed torso and leg printing and an upgraded helmet piece. Owners of the original Mouth of Sauron will be very pleased to see this, given how expensive that minifigure is. The Mordor orc have also got a fresh look and we get a long await Sauron minifigure, which looks amazing.

Barad-Dur is the fortress of Sauron and is a key location in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and this does a fantastic job at replicating it in LEGO form.

Alongside the release of this set LEGO is also offering the 40693 Fellbeast GWP which will be included with purchases of Barad-Dur. We'll let you know exact details on this once we get the official reveal from LEGO, which is expected later today.
