LEGO has officially revealed a new Sonic the Hedgehog set, Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman's Death Egg Robot. It will be released alongside the four previously revealed sets from the theme on 1st August 2023 and will retail for £57.99 / $59.99 / €64.99.

This mid-priced set features a Dr. Eggman mech, the same speed sphere contraption we saw in the other Sonic the Hedgehog sets, as well as a number of smaller side builds. Dr. Eggman's mech has a removable capsule that contains animals Dr. Eggman is using as a source of power. The unique play feature is that these can be pushed out and rescued when Sonic scores a direct hit on Dr. Eggman using the speed sphere.

In total there are 615 pieces, including minifigures of Sonic and a unique Dr. Eggman, featuring the long leg pieces that were first debuted in the Toy Story theme.
