Today LEGO has officially revealed the next set in the Star Wars UCS line, the X-wing Starfighter. The set which has 1,949 pieces will be released on 1st May 2023 for LEGO VIP's or 4th May 2023 for non VIP's and will be priced at £209.99/ $239.99 / €239.99.

This is not the first time we've seen a UCS X-wing Starfighter as we had set 7191 the X-wing Fighter which was released in 2000. However, with over 600 more pieces than it's predecessor this is the most detailed X-wing ever to be released by LEGO.

The set comes with two minifigure which are Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 which may be a bit disappointing to some but the ship only has space for one person and a droid so it would be strange if more were included.

While not the most exciting set this is a nice addition to the UCS line up and it's good to get another opportunity to buy a UCS scale X-wing for those than missed out on the first all those years ago
