Winners of the Second LEGO Ideas Review Round of 2022 Announced
10th February 2023

A total of 51 projects made it to 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas between May 2022 and early September 2022. The LEGO Review Board has spent the past few months deliberating over which of these should make it into production, and today the two winners were announced.

The first of these is the Red London Telephone Box, whose designer is John Cramp (aka Bricked1980). Anyone who knows anything about British culture and history will be familiar with the bright red telephone box that can be seen dotted about the English capital. It's somewhat of an international design icon, and will make a great display piece.
The original project contained 1856 pieces, due to there being lots of fine details created with small pieces. It will be interesting to see if LEGO scales some of this back, as it's a very high piece count for what is a relatively small object in real life.

The second successful project is The Nightmare Before Christmas, whose designer is Simon Scott (aka Tvrulesmylife). This is in fact the second time that this project reached the 10k mark.
LEGO mentioned that it was the project's greater focus on playability that helped sway the judges the second time round. The original project contained around 2,000 pieces and 8 minifigures
