Working Canal Lock Reaches 10,000 Supporters on LEGO Ideas
10th November 2023

The Working Canal Lock has achieved 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas and now enters the current review round.
It's one of the most ingenious projects we've seen come through LEGO Ideas. It features all the functionality of a real-life lock, including two working lock gates and a basin that can be elevated and declined. There's also potential to motorise all the operations.
In addition, the project is incredibly detailed, making it great as a standalone model.
It total there are 2,999 pieces, with 7 minifigures. The proportions of the build are 44 cm x 31 cm x 20 cm.

This is definitely one of our favourite projects to have made it to the review round so far, so we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for when the results of LEGO's review are announced next year.
The Working Canal Lock joins the following projects in the review round:
- Modular Heritage Museum
- Great Temple Abu Simbel
- Rolls Royce Phantom 1
- Moon Palace
- LEGO Anatomy
- NASA's SLS Block 1 & 1B Rockets - Artemis Missions
