About this set
This set was given out as a prize in a LEGO VIP Member contest held in June 2015. To gain entry to the prize draw, people had to make any purchase of a LEGO DC Super Heroes set. Entries were limited to one per customer per day. In the United States and Canada entries could also be gained by sending LEGO an email. Again, entries were limited to one per day via this method. 750 copies of the set were produced for winners of the draw in the US and Canada, and 250 copies were produced winners in the rest of the world, giving the set a total production run of 1,000. A very small number of copies produced for North American VIP Members were available to purchase for 15,000 VIP points in July 2019 to promote the launch of the revamped LEGO VIP program.
