About this set
This set was available to buy for $40 for winners of a raffle held on July 10 at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con. Five copies of the set were also given to winners of a Twitter competition held on the same day. The set included a small 12x12 stud diorama build recreating the scene on the front page of Superman’s first comic book from 1938. It also included a Superman minifigure, which was not exclusive as it also appeared in 6862 Superman vs. Power Armor Lex and was the same minifigure given away as an exclusive at the 2011 New York Comic Con. The packaging differs from regular sets as it was made from higher quality cardboard and came with a slip cover. The set was limited to 1,500 copies, with each copy being sealed with a sticker numbered from 1 to 1,500.
