The NeverEnding Story has collected enough support from fans to now be in the running to be turned into an official LEGO Ideas set.
As the name suggests, this project is based on The NeverEnding Story, which was a 1980's fantasy movie adaptation of the book of the same name. The movie centers around Bastian Bux, a boy who finds a magical book about a young warrior called Atreyu who must stop a dark force called the "Nothing" from devouring the wonderland of Fantasia.
A large number of sets are due to retire by 31 December 2022, but many are already permanently sold out on LEGO.com. This means that no more stock of these items is going to come in.
Typically, those wanting to nab a set before it leaves shelves could wait until December, but it seems that the supply chain issues that have plagued LEGO and the wider economy this year is leading to a record number of sets selling out early.
Other retailers might still have some stock left, so it's worth checking them out now and prioritising the sets listed below if you don't want to be left disappointed!
