Today LEGO officially revealed The Mighty Bowser (71411), the next set to be added to the Super Mario theme. The set consists of 2807 pieces with a RRP of £229.99 / $269.99 / 269.99€.
The highly anticipated set depicting the iconic Delorean from the Back to the Future franchise was released on the 1st April to much excitement. LEGO have produced a Delorean set before back in 2013, which is now much sought after by collectors, but this iteration is significantly bigger and better. LEGO has released a number of highly detailed cars under the Creator Expert theme that depict real-world counterparts, and this is the most accurate of them all. The film and car also have a cult-like status that is not going to change anytime soon. Set 10300 was therefore on many people's wishlist.
Yet another project has garnered 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, and now has a chance of being turned into an official set. The Great Wave of Kanagawa depicts the famous artwork of the same name by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. The painting was created using a woodblock print that shows a large wave about to crash over three boats of fishermen, with the iconic Mount Fuji in the background. It's one of the best-known pieces of Asian art and is widely recognised around the world.
The Wave was designed by the prolific LEGOverwatch who has several other projects at the “gathering support” stage. From a technical perspective this project is very impressive as it's a real challenge to recreate something as fluid as water in brick form. Some clever building techniques and ingenuity would have been required to achieve the end result. We especially like the use of the white connecting parts to depict the breaking water.
The Old Train Engine Shed has achieved 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, meaning it's a contender for being turned into an official set.
The set's designer is Mind the Brick who is a serial Ideas project submitter, and this isn't the first of their projects to make it into the review stage. John's Medieval Watermill passed the 10K threshold last year but unfortunately failed to get final approval from LEGO.
For the last few weeks, images of two new LEGO Technic summer 2022 sets have been circulating around the internet and now LEGO has officially revealed them with product listings being added to lego.com.

LEGO Con 2022 has really delivered this year with one of the crowning moments being the official reveal of the Marvel Doctor Strange Sanctum Sanctorum. This set had been rumoured to be in the works for a long time but we got our first glimpse of it when it was revealed on stage by its designer.
The model will be compatible with other modular buildings as well as the Daily Bugle which was released last year.
