Another set revealed at LEGO Con 2022 today was the Galaxy Explorer. Like the Lion Knight's Castle, this set is also a tribute to classic LEGO sets, specifically in this case the original Galaxy Explorer set from 1979. In fact the LEGO chose to give it the set number 10497 to pay homage to the original which has set number 497.

LEGO Lion Knight's Castle (10305) Officially Revealed

LEGO Lion Knight's Castle set

LEGO Con 2022 has been taking place today which has seen a whole host of new sets being officially revealed. One of those sets, and one that will delight a lot of AFOL's, is the Lion Knight's Castle (10305) set.

The Lion Knight's castle is a new interpretation on the classic LEGO castle theme and it pays homage to the sets that a lot of adult collectors would have grown up with.

LEGO Ideas Jazz Quartet (21334) Set Officially Revealed

LEGO Ideas Jazz Quartet set

The next Ideas set has been officially revealed by LEGO today and it's the Jazz Quartet (21334). This set was originally a submission to the LEGO Ideas website by and was one of three projects selected to be made into official LEGO sets in early 2021.

The set will have 1,606 pieces and will retail for £89.99 / $99.99 / 99.99 with a release date of 1st July 2022.

Two New LEGO Summer 2022 Speed Champions Sets Revealed

Earlier today two new summer LEGO Speed Champions sets were revealed, the Aston Martin DB5 (76911) and the Fast & Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T (76912). They were revealed by French retailer joueclub.fr who posted product listings on their website for the two new sets. LEGO fans will be no strangers to these vehicles as we have already seen them in LEGO sets (Creator Export Aston Martin DB5 & Technic Dom's Dodge Charger), albeit in a larger scale

The DB5 has 298 pieces, while the Dodge Charger has 345 pieces and both sets will continue the £17.99 / $19.99 price point for single vehicle Speed Champions sets. However those prices could increase by 25% if LEGO applies the same price increases it intends to apply to the 1970 Ferrari 512M, Lotus Evija and Lamborghini Countach in August.

LEGO Vincent van Gogh - The Starry Night set

Earlier today LEGO officially revealed the next Ideas set, Vincent van Gogh - The Starry Night. The set depicts van Gogh's famous painting, The Starry Night which currently resides in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

We already knew this set was in the works as it came from the a Lego Ideas submission by the user legotruman, but it's nice to get official images of the finished LEGO product. When comparing the original submission with the set, it's remarkable how little has been changed by the LEGO designers. Over the years we've seen LEGO make substantial changes to previous Ideas projects such as Pirates of Barracuda Bay and the Medieval Blacksmith.

LEGO Creator Export Transformers Optimus Prime set

Yesterday LEGO officially revealed the widely rumoured Transformers Optimus Prime (10302) set. Although this set was rumoured to be in the pipeline many LEGO fans took a "I'll believe it when I see it" approach as LEGO and Hasbro (the owners of the Transformers) are essentially rival toy companies. However the two companies have united and this collaboration marks the first time they have worked together to produce a toy product.
