LEGO Technic 4x4 Mercedes Benz Zetros Trial Truck and Heavy Duty Tow Truck Revealed

LEGO Heavy Duty Tow Truck set

The new set reveals keep on coming with the Technic 4x4 Mercedes Benz Zetros Trial Truck and the Heavy Duty Tow Truck announced yesterday.

The Heavy Duty Tow Truck is set number 42128, has 2,017 and retails for £139.99 ($149.99). This set will be available from 1st August 2021 and others good value for money at 6.9p (7.4c) per piece.

The 4x4 Mercedes Benz Zetros Trial Truck is set number 42129, has 2,110 pieces and retails for $299.99. Although the piece count is similar to the Tow Truck this set is double the price, mainly because it can be controlled with LEGO's CONTROL+ app and the fact that it's a licenced set based on a real vehicle.

LEGO Technic Ford F-150 Raptor (42126) Officially Revealed

LEGO Technic Ford F-150 Raptor set

Along with the Pickup Truck, another vehicle set was revealed today, the LEGO Technic Ford F-150 Raptor. It will also be available to buy on 1st October 2021 with the LEGO Shop accepting pre-orders.

We knew for a while that we were getting this set but this is the first time we've been able to see images of the finished product. I'm a little surprised that the build uses orange as the primary colour rather than the standard blue as that would have nicely matched the Speed Champions set released a few years ago.

LEGO Ideas 2020 Third Batch Results

LEGO Ideas Lighthouse

A few days ago LEGO announced the results of the third batch of LEGO Ideas submissions from 2020. There were 25 submissions that received the all important 10,000 votes to be considered by LEGO for future sets, with one winner being selected, the Motorized Lighthouse.

LEGO Reveals Ideas Typewriter Set (21327)

LEGO Ideas Typewriter set

A few days ago LEGO teased the release of the Ideas Typewriter set and today they have done a full reveal. The set, which will be based on the Ideas submission by Steve Guinness, will be the first of the wave approved in January 2020 to hit the shelves of a LEGO store near you. The other successful submissions from that wave are the "Seinfeld 30th Anniversary" and "Home Alone. McCallister's House" sets.

The Typewriter is set number 21327 and will be released to VIPs on 16th June with the wider release on 1st July. It will consist of 2,079 pieces and will be priced at $199.99.

The Typewriters design looks fantastic especially in that dark green colour and all of the keys when pressed operate a centered typebar as well as moving the paper bar across. Another nice bonus is that all of the keys are printed pieces rather than stickers.

LEGO Disney Frozen The Ice Castle (43197) Revealed

LEGO Disney Frozen The Ice Castle set

LEGO has revealed a new Disney set in the form of The Ice Castle from the Frozen movies. The castle is made up of 1,709 pieces and will be available to buy on 1st July 2021 for £199.99 ($199.99).

The set doesn't include minifigures but instead has minidolls like you see in the Friends LEGO sets.

The castle looks very impressive and once built will stand 65cm high, it also has an open back so the interior can be easily reached and played with.

LEGO has unveiled the next wave of Jurrasic World sets based on the Netflix show "Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous". There are four new sets (five if you include Duplo) scheduled to be released later this summer which range from $30 - $80.
